Ascending the great hall, \[the Master\] brought up: "Grand-master Baiyun Duan said, 'If you truly work up a sweat once, then on a single blade of grass there will appear jade halls and jasper palaces; if you have not truly worked up a sweat once, even if there are jade halls and jasper palaces, they will instead be covered up by a single blade of grass.'" The Master said, "That jade halls and jasper palaces appear on a single blade of grass is definitely credible; do not be recklessly deceived into thinking that jade halls and jasper palaces are covered up by a single blade of grass. When Jingshan speaks like this, he speaks for those who have already worked up a sweat once. Those who have not yet worked up a sweat once must by no means doubt it."
