- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [9.40](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.2000.9.40)

> Ascending the hall: "The start of summer is clear and mild, all growing things flourish luxuriantly. Gathering eminent persons from the four seas to probe deeply and investigate shallowly, suddenly with a sneeze it bursts forth: swallowing all rivers dry without leaving a single drop of water; burning Mount Sumeru to ash without consuming even a bean of fire. Who discerns its origin? The pine is fat, the bamboo is lean. Even if the seven items accompany your body, Jingshan says this is not yet it. Why?" Striking the whisk, he said: "Dongshan's Buddha has no light; Han Xin attends court."
