- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [1.177](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.2001.1.177)

> Ascending the hall, he said: "Coming, there is nowhere it comes from; going, there is nowhere it goes. Realize the parity of the one principle; see the empty characteristic of all phenomena. Where morning clouds disperse, the sun shines bright; when night rain has passed, the stream swells. The radiant substance stands alone, constantly abiding in oneness; responding to the real without borrowed aid, the myriad forms are densely arrayed. You need not give rise to further thinking; there is naturally someone making offerings universally and equally." / The master called out in a loud voice, saying, "Chan practitioners of great resting and great ceasing! If you do not accept food, that is the lapse of noble detachment."
