- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [1.76](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.2001.1.76)

> Ascending the hall, \[the Master\] said, "A solitary light turns the night, and naturally the withered tree blossoms. Dropping hands and entering the marketplace, wondrously in a barren field one does not select grasses. It can be said: so it is with the world, so it is with sentient beings, so it is in every dust particle, so it is in every land, so it is in every thought. At such a time, there is no other dharma. Do you understand? The threads on the loom do not hang upon the shuttle's head; the patterns running crisscross have a naturally distinct significance."
