> Ascending the hall: "You should know that the wind moving causes the mind to shake the tree; truly see that clouds arising causes the nature to stir up dust. The rain pours and pours; the sun shines brightly. Nodding his head, Maitreya knows how to divide his body. Stepping out through the gate from within the body is the World-Honoured One Maitreya; stepping out of the body from within the gate is the Great Being Guanyin. Entering the stream and forgetting the object—one can also go like this; manifesting to people according to the occasion—one can also come like this. In your practice, have you reached the place of functioning of such clear-minded fellows? At the bedside, the scissors are sharp and of ready use; amidst the clamor, the skin-bag forgets its machinations and remains naive."
