> Instructing the assembly, \[the Master\] brought up: "Lingyun said: 'For thirty years I sought a swordsman; / How many times did leaves fall and branches sprout again? / Ever since I once saw the peach blossoms, / Right up until now I doubt no more.' Xuansha said: 'Extremely fitting, it is indeed fitting; yet I dare guarantee that the venerable brother has not penetrated through.'" The Master said: "Lingyun awakened to the peach blossoms, and Xuansha stood by and withheld approval. Gloriously clear, this mind is evident; yet faintly, he had not set his body down stably. If set down stably, eight ounces are originally half a catty; the hook's tip and the balance's tail can be equal."
