- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [4.57](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.2001.4.57)

> Ascending the hall, he said: "The body is not an accumulation of dust, standing toweringly, wondrously present. The mind is not tied to sensory conditions, darkly solitary and self-taught. Its substance transcends all obstacles; its function attains great autonomy. Neither going nor coming, neither evident nor obscure. Responding to forms and sounds, it abandons opposites and counterparts. Steamed buns, sesame cakes, and Avalokiteśvara—return to me the buying and selling of one skilled in the trade."
