> Upholding the buddha school in this world, / The mind transmitted to our master. / The livelihood of a single fist, / The family style of a single shout. / Revealing the dynamic trigger in the shadow grass, / Sansheng turns blind; / Fine gold emerging from the smelting furnace, / Baizhang goes deaf again. / Ample and having room to spare, / Vast and elevated. / The extensive learning of Ānanda and the dhūta practice of Kāśyapa; / The wisdom of Śāriputra and the supernormal powers of Maudgalyāyana. / Truly attaining an unborrowed response, / Greatly sharing the work of the non-governing ruler. / The hundred rivers meander, naturally reaching the sea; / The myriad dense forms cannot escape emptiness.
