- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [1.44](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.2003.1.44)

> Cuiyan addressed the disciples, (This old thief—teaching someone else's sons and daughters to go bad!)
> Matchless through a thousand ages. (Out of thousands and myriads, there is also one or a half. Cut off a section!)
> Responded to with the word 'barrier'—(I don't believe you. Truly extraordinary! Only if one is such a person can one understand such talk.)
> Losing money and incurring guilt. (Swallowing anger and stifling breath. Xuedou has plenty of it too. Strike him along with his voice!)
> Disheveled Baofu, (A companion walking the same path, yet making this kind of accommodation! Two or three.)
> Repressing and exalting, he is hard to come by. (Releasing and holding fast. Who lives and dies together? Better not slander him. Fortunately, it has no connection!)
> Chattering Cuiyan, (This wild fox spirit! He should shut his mouth.)
> Clearly he is a thief. (Calling him out does no harm. He has been caught red-handed!)
> The white jade has no flaw; (Can you still distinguish it? People under heaven do not know the price.)
> Who can tell the real from the fake? (Most are just fake. This mountain monk has never had eyes. Blue-eyed Hu monk!)
> Changqing intimately understood: (It takes an expert to know an expert. It had to be him before it would do. Not even half gotten!)
> 'The eyebrows have grown!' (Where are they? From the crown of the head down to the heels, not even a blade of grass!)
