> The pointer says: Jade is tested by fire; gold is tested by stone; a sword is tested by a hair; water is tested by a staff. As for under the patch-robed monks' gate: a single word, a single phrase, a single dynamic action, a single state, a single exit, a single entrance, a single push, a single press—one wants to see the depth or shallowness, one wants to see the facing toward or turning away. Tell me: what is used to test? Please bring it forward to see.
