- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [3.28](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.2003.3.28)

> Galloping to and fro in the realm of ancestral masters, a heavenly colt: (Appearing once in five hundred years. Among thousands and myriads, there is one or a half. A son inheriting his father's estate.)
> Unfolding and rolling up in the teaching gate, taking different paths. (Already prior to words. That fellow attains freedom. Acknowledge his expert skill!)
> Amid flash of lightning and spark of flint, dynamic shifts are preserved; (Coming right to your face! Turning left, turning right. Do you still see where Baizhang acts for others?)
> One can laugh at a person coming to pluck the tiger's whiskers! (Well worth thirty blows of the staff. Beneath a heavy bounty, there is bound to be a brave man. He cannot avoid losing body and life. Let the ācārya off for one move.)
