- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [8.45](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.2003.8.45)

> "The six consciousnesses without effort pose a question; (Having eyes as though blind; having ears as though deaf. The bright mirror stands on its stand; the bright pearl rests in the palm. A single phrase expresses it completely.) / An adept master has tested where it comes from. (What need is there? One must still distinguish black from white. Only through realization is it known.) / On vast, rushing water, striking a ball— (Consistent from beginning to end. Gone past. What are you saying?) / Where it lands, it does not stop: who knows how to watch it?" (Watching it, one goes blind. Gone past. Catch it below the rapids!)
