- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [9.26](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.2003.9.26)

> \[Case 86\] Bringing forward: Yunmen addressed the assembly, saying: 'Everyone without exception possesses radiance; (A black lacquer tub.) / When looking, they do not see it, and it is pitch dark. (When looking, they are blind.) / What is everyone's radiance?' (Mountains are mountains, waters are waters. Washing black ink in a lacquer tub.) / Speaking on their behalf, he said: 'The storeroom, the triple gate.' (Grandmotherly heart is eager. Why get entangled in vines?) / He also said: 'A good thing is not as good as nothing.' (He himself knows it is half a step better. Still somewhat better.)
