> Silken cords descend (listen to the imperial edict), / The commands are apportioned (violators are beheaded). / Within the realm, the Son of Heaven (ruling over ten thousand nations); / Beyond the border, the general (singly defending one region). // Not waiting for thunder to startle from hibernation (rising early in the fifth watch), / How could one know the wind arrests the drifting clouds? (There are already night travelers.) // Continuous beneath the loom: of itself there are golden needle and jade thread (hard to deceive one with clear eyes); / Vast before the seal: originally without bird-seal or insect-script (the meaning of the characters is luminous).
