> Case: Guishan asked Daowu, "Where have you come from?" (The place of coming must be clear.)
> Wu said, "I have come from visiting the sick." (The first field of merit is indeed not absent.)
> Shan said, "How many people are sick?" (Still demanding two sorts.)
> Wu said, "There are those who are sick and those who are not sick." (Yet you have a second moon.)
> Shan said, "Is the one who is not sick the ascetic Zhi?" (A device to trap a tiger.)
> Wu said, "Being sick or not sick has nothing to do with him at all. Speak quickly! Speak quickly!" (Yet the gourd vine is tangled back onto itself.)
> Shan said, "Even if you could speak, it would have no connection." (Disaster does not enter the house of the cautious.)
