> Question: The six destinies and the traidhātuka are vast and boundless. If one only contemplates the mind, by what means can one escape unending suffering? Answer: Karmic retributions in the traidhātuka are produced only by the mind. If originally there is no mind, then within the traidhātuka one is out of the traidhātuka. The traidhātuka is the three poisons: greed is the kāmadhātu, hatred is the rūpadhātu, and delusion is the ārūpyadhātu; therefore it is called the traidhātuka. Due to these three poisons, the weight of the karma produced and the retributions received differ, dividing into the six places; therefore they are called the six destinies.
