> Dharma Master Yuankang says: 'Clarifying awakening and entry: the Tathāgata preached eighty-four thousand teachings, yet the ultimate principle clarified is without any different path. The Avataṃsaka Sūtra says: "A single path transcends birth-and-death." The Nirvāṇa Sūtra says: "The single path is pure." The Pañcaviṃśatisāhasrikā Sūtra says: "The single characteristic is without characteristic." The Vimalakīrtinirdeśa Sūtra speaks of: "The non-dual Dharma gate." The treatise says: "Knowing by oneself and not following others, serene and extinguished without conceptual proliferation, without difference and without discrimination—this is called the true mark." This is what all the worthy ones aim for and where all meanings converge, all pointing to the true path of the one mind.'
