> Question: A verse in the Laṅkāvatārasūtra says: 'From the tenets that are established, diverse meanings arise; contemplating one's own mental measure with equanimity, speech cannot be found.' Since one has already realized mind-only, what need is there for discourse? As the Mahāprajñāpāramitāsūtra says: 'The Buddha told Subhūti: "So it is, so it is. Though bodhisattva-mahāsattvas train in many places, they have nothing to train in. Why is this? There is truly no dharma that can cause the assemblies of bodhisattva-mahāsattvas to cultivate and train in it."' It also says: 'The absence of sentence-meaning is the bodhisattva's sentence-meaning. For example, in space, there are truly no bird tracks.'
