> Answer: "Generally speaking, when discussing conceptualization (vikalpa), there are three kinds: first, recollection-conceptualization (anusmṛti-vikalpa), where the subsequent thought continues from the previous thought moment by moment; second, calculation-conceptualization (abhinirūpaṇā-vikalpa), which is pervasive calculation; third, self-nature-conceptualization (svabhāva-vikalpa), which spontaneously takes objects as conditions without carrying names and words. Now, when the fundamental wisdom realizes suchness, it is called 'non-conceptual' only because it lacks the two conceptualizations of recollection and calculation. Yet this does not prevent it from having self-nature-conceptualization. It is like a person drinking water: although there is no speech, they naturally know for themselves whether it is cold or warm. Therefore, we know that it also has the meaning of 'model'."
