### [97.58](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.2016.97.58)

緣禪師云。譬如家中有大石。尋常坐臥。或作佛像。心作佛解。畏罪不敢坐。皆是意識筆頭畫作。自忙自怕。石中實無罪福。

> Chan Master Yuan said: "For example, there is a large stone in the house, on which one usually sits or lies. If someone makes it into a Buddha statue, the citta forms an understanding of Buddha and, fearing sin, dares not sit on it. These are all drawn by the brush-tip of the manovijñāna; one busies oneself and frightens oneself. Within the stone, there is truly neither sin nor blessing."
