The monastery should prepare offerings and monetary gifts, high and low, each according to etiquette. They also invite the two ranks and retired officers to accompany them; the head seat temporarily takes the chief host's position and sits in the abbot's quarters. Name placards are set out. The prior conducts the rituals, identical to an ordinary special hospitality. After tea, the bell is rung to gather the assembly, and they see off the funeral director at the gate.
