- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [5.11](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.2034.5.11)

> The above one fascicle: Dharmagupta (translated in Wei as Fazang \[Treasure of Dharma\]). Dharmagupta's teacher was Dhṛtaka, who was a ninth-generation disciple from Ayodhyā. Dharmagupta succeeded him and was the master of the \*Four-Part Vinaya\*. From this point the disparate schools arose. This corresponds to two hundred years after the Buddha's passing. Later, Śramaṇa Dharmasatya of Parthia arrived at the bank of the Luo River in the first year of the Zhengyuan era under the Duke of Gaogui Township (he was remarkably versed in Vinaya studies; the assembly requested him to translate it at Baima Monastery).
