> Dharma Master Jinggao was a native of Siming. He studied under Fazhen and was a top disciple. He composed a commentary on the \*Vajracchedikā Sūtra\*. Whenever he wished to lecture, he immediately lectured without waiting for an assembly to gather. A certain Vinaya Master Chen went to the underworld. The official in charge of names said, "He was summoned by mistake." Chen peeked secretly at the register, which read: "Ācārya Jinggao of Mingzhou lectured on the \*Vajracchedikā-prajñāpāramitā Sūtra\* one hundred times." After returning, he went to ask the master about it. The master said, "It was only ten times; perhaps because the meaning was superior, it was praised as a hundred times."
