> Dharma Master Fayun took up his monastic career at Jingde in Gusu. He was granted the title Purun. He studied teaching and contemplation under Qingbian and grasped their purports. In the thirteenth year of Shaoxing, he compiled the \*Fanyi mingyi ji\* (Collection of Translated Names and Meanings) in seven rolls to explain the Sanskrit terms in the scriptural canon. Drawing upon commentaries and records, he engaged in discussions that were of great benefit to students. Xian of Zeshan commended his work and, to aid its circulation, had it carved into printing blocks.
