> Dharma Master Qingguan was of the Qu clan of Linhai. He resided at Guoqing Monastery for a long time, deeply penetrating the threefold contemplation and possessing miraculous meditation powers. Upright and solitary in self-discipline, he kept no robes or alms bowls. He often said, "I regret not having sacrificed my own head and eyes." Once, someone south of the stream invited him for an offering. Rain fell that night and the river swelled, making it impossible for people to cross. The Master arrived in an instant, without his robes being wet. People knew from this that he had the supernatural power of feet.
