> Jia Chunren was a native of Zhachuan. He attained the post of Vice Prefect of Yingzhou. He devoted his mind to pure karma, kept a perpetual vegetarian fast, and recited the Buddha's name. Because of a slight illness, he sat peacefully facing west and passed away. Above the crown of his head was a round sign of white light, and a wondrous fragrance filled the room.
