> In the first year, Lie Yukou of Zheng lived in seclusion in the wilds of Zheng and authored a work, which records that Confucius answered the Grand Administrator of Shang: 'Among the people of the West, there is a sage. He does not govern, yet there is no disorder; he does not speak, yet he is spontaneously trusted; he does not transform, yet \[the way\] spontaneously progresses. So vast is he that the common people cannot find a name for him!' His book contains eight chapters and is titled Liezi.
