> In the first year of Yanguang, Yin Changsheng was a relative of Empress Yin. He served Ma Mingwang as his master, studying the Way to achieve transcendence from the world. Together they entered Mount Qingcheng, boiled yellow earth to make gold, established an altar, and \[Ma\] transmitted to him the \*Scripture of the Divine Elixir of Great Clarity\*. Changsheng compounded the elixir and ingested half of it without ascending to heaven. He produced several hundred thousand catties of gold to bestow upon the impoverished. He lived among the common people for two hundred years; later, on Mount Pingdu, he ascended to heaven in broad daylight.
