佛祖統紀 35.47

- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [35.47](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.2035.35.47)

二年。蒼梧儒生牟子因世亂。無仕官意銳志佛道。而世多非之。乃製理惑論以為勸。其辭有云。佛者覺也。猶三皇神五帝聖也（文見大藏弘明集）。

> In the second year, the Confucian scholar Mouzi of Cangwu, seeing the world in disorder, had no desire to take office and focused his resolve intently on the Buddhist way. Yet the world mostly criticized him. Thereupon, he composed the Treatise Dispelling Doubts (Lihuo lun) as an admonition. His words state: 'The Buddha is the awakened one, just like the divine nature of the Three Sovereigns and the sagehood of the Five Emperors' (the text is found in the Tripitaka's Hongming ji).
