> In the fifth year, Zhu Shixing of Yingchuan (who still retained his secular surname) lectured on the Daoxing banruo jing (the beginning of lecturing on scriptures). Always lamenting that the translated meanings were incomplete, he set out from Chang'an and reached the kingdom of Khotan (the beginning of monks journeying to the West). He obtained the Sanskrit text of the Prajñā\[pāramitā\]. The kingdom forbade its transmission to the eastern lands; Shixing requested that it be tested by fire without harm. The king believed this marvel and permitted its transmission. Shixing then sent the scripture back east, and it was therefore named the Fangguang banruo.
