> (\[Year\] 41) In this year, an imperial decree was issued again to summon Tripiṭaka Master Śikṣānanda of the Kingdom of Khotan. Śikṣānanda's bearing was magnanimous, and his demeanor was refined and dignified. He was adept in both the Mahāyāna and Hīnayāna, and fluent in both Chinese and Sanskrit.
