> (9) In Wu this year, two stone images of the Buddhas Vipaśyin and Kāśyapa floated across the sea and arrived at the mouth of the Hudu River along the Wusong River. Daoist masters and shamans who saw them floating from afar went to welcome them, but wind and waves surged violently. Zhu Ying of Wu County, who had always revered the correct Dharma, went with several others to welcome the images together. Thereupon, riding the current, the images arrived of their own accord. They had inscriptions on their backs, and when loaded onto the boat, they were as light as feathers. They were then enshrined and made offerings to in Tongxuan Monastery. (This is now Kaiyuan Monastery; the matter is recorded in the Zhulin.)
