> Wu: The Ruler of Wu, Liang, was the youngest son of Quan. He ascended the throne at the age of nine and reigned for six years. He was intelligent and imposing by nature. Sun Chen feared him and refrained from attending court. Liang then plotted with Quan Shang to execute Chen. The matter leaked. In the ninth month, Chen surrounded the palace at night with troops, deposed Liang as the Prince of Kuaiji, and welcomed and enthroned Xiu, Prince of Langya. Chen repeatedly voiced grievances, and Xiu harbored resentment against him. He secretly plotted with Zhang Bu and Ding Feng, and during the winter solstice banquet, executed Chen and exterminated his three clans. Xiu was Emperor Jing; he reigned for six years. (Wu zhi).
