> Shi Seng'an lived on Mount Wangwu expounding the Mahāparinirvāṇa-sūtra, and a female pheasant crouched listening. In this year, An arrived in Yue Prefecture, where a family had a daughter whose hair was like pheasant feathers; upon seeing An, she appeared like an old acquaintance. Thus it was known that the girl was indeed the pheasant (Ganying ji).
