Praising it as unprecedented, he joined his palms in reverence, circumambulated, and departed, repeatedly looking back until he could no longer see \[the Buddha\]. Then the World-Honoured One went forward again, next arriving at the bank of the Ajapāla \[river\]. At dusk he stopped to rest and entered absorption.
