- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [1.162](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.2041.1.162)

經云。如來前行威儀庠序。路逢外道名優波伽。見相歎伏以偈問答。心生希有合掌圍繞而去。迴顧望沒乃止。

> The sūtra says: The Tathāgata proceeded with composed and dignified deportment. On the road he met an outsider named Upaka, who, seeing his marks, sighed in admiration; they questioned and answered each other in verse. Conceiving a rare feeling, he clasped his hands, circumambulated him, and went away, looking back until the Buddha vanished from sight before stopping.
