高僧傳 11.12

- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [11.12](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.2059.11.12)

> During the Taiyuan reign of the Jin, an ominous star appeared. The Emperor issued an edict to all provinces: śramaṇas of virtue were ordered to observe a fast, repent, and avert the disaster. Tanyou then prayed with sincerity, moving the unseen realm. At dawn on the sixth day, he saw a small boy dressed in green come to confess, saying: "We have troubled the Dharma Master in vain; this evening the star will retreat." Another account says: "The one who averted the star was Bo Sengguang." It is not clear which is correct.
