> At that time on Mount Yang there was also Zhu Fayou, whose resolve and practice were strong and upright, and who was widely versed in numerous scriptures; he once received the Abhidharma from Shen, and after a single night was able to recite it by heart. Shen said, "'Memorizing upon merely passing one's eyes over it' was praised by the ancients; if the Capable and Benevolent One (Śākyamuni) were to arise again in the Great Jin, he would surely take you as one of the five hundred." At the age of twenty-four, he was already able to lecture and expound. Later he founded the Nantai Monastery to the south of Shan County town.
