> At that time, Zhu Shulan had newly translated the Fangguang jing. Long, who had always delighted in the signless, perused it as soon as he obtained it; after some ten-odd days, he proceeded to deliver lectures on it. Later, his end was not known. Sun Chuo composed a eulogy for him, saying: / A small square is easy to draft, / But a great vessel is hard to depict. / Martial and vast was Xiaolong, / Able to surpass in height and breadth. / Living beings vied to turn to him, / People thought to emulate and look up to him. / Cloud-filled springs spread wide, / The fragrance of thoroughwort resounds afar.
