### [6.42](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.2059.6.42)

> Shi Huiyong, surnamed Pan, was a native of Henei. At the age of twelve he left home, serving the śramaṇa Zhu Tanxian as his teacher; later he also submitted wholeheartedly to Dharma Master Dao'an. He had long had a mutual pact with Huiyuan, wishing to build a hermitage amidst the peaks of Mount Luofu. Since Huiyuan was retained by Dao'an, Huiyong wished to cross the Five Ridges first. Passing through Xunyang on his journey, the commandery native Tao Fan bitterly invited and retained him; thereupon he stayed for a time at Xilin Temple on Mount Lu. After his disciples gradually increased and Huiyuan also built a monastery with him, he ultimately formed the intention to spend his end there.
