> At first, he went to Mount Huqiu in Wu; within ten days, his students numbered several hundred. In the summer of that year, thunder struck the Buddha Hall of Qingyuan Temple, and a dragon ascended to the sky, casting light and shadows on the western wall; the temple's name was consequently changed to Longguang (Dragon Radiance). People of the time sighed and said: "Since the dragon has already departed, Master Daosheng must certainly leave." Soon after, he repaired to Mount Lu and concealed his presence amid the cliffs and peaks; the monastics in the mountain all revered and submitted to him. Later, when the large version of the Nirvāṇa-sūtra arrived in Nanjing, it indeed stated that all icchantikas possess the Buddha-nature, tallying with what he had previously declared like two halves of a tally.
