- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [8.84](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.2059.8.84)

> At that time at the Upper Dinglin Temple there was also the novice Shengjin, originally a eunuch. His pure faith was exceedingly sincere, and he eventually left the household to practice austere discipline. Once, while practicing dhūta on the Eastern Mountain, he stayed overnight beneath a tree. A tiger came and rubbed his head, and seeing Jin sitting upright without being disturbed, knelt before him and left. Thereafter, whenever he walked or sat alone, a blue-grey horse was constantly seen guarding him on either side.
