- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [8.6](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.2067.8.6)

> There was a disciple named Shansi, who also recited the Lotus Sūtra more than ten thousand times. On the day of his death, banners, flowers, and music filled the sky with sound. All the monastics in the temple saw and heard it. He also saw a flower platform come to welcome him; Shansi then stood upright with hands clasped, folded his palms, and transformed. Onlookers from near and far were like a wall. He did not permit his burial, giving his body to the flying and running beasts.
