# 往生集 1.104

往生集 1.104

- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [1.104](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.2072.1.104)

贊曰。昔生公說法將竟。眾見麈尾墜地。憑几而化。如入禪定。璿之事亦類是矣。嗚呼匪平生道力。可勉強於臨時耶。

> The appraisal says: Formerly, when Master Dao Sheng was about to finish expounding the Dharma, the assembly saw his fly-whisk drop to the ground, and he passed away leaning on an armrest, as if entering meditative absorption. What happened with Xuan was also similar to this. Alas! Were it not for the power of the Way throughout one's life, could one force it at the final moment?
