> In the Song dynasty, Lady Xiang, named Miaozhi, was a person of Yinxian. Living as a widow, she made both of her daughters become nuns, while she herself practiced buddhamanasikāra diligently. One day she suddenly said, "I wish to depart while seated, but you have mistakenly made a coffin for me." Her daughter said, "The Buddha used a golden coffin; there is no harm in it." The mother was pleased. Soon after, a wondrous fragrance filled the room; facing west, she formed a mudrā, smiled slightly, and passed away.
