> Chan Master Fagui, \[conferred the title\] 'Faming Puzhao' (Dharma-Radiance Universally Illuminating), of Fengxian Monastery in Hangzhou. A monk asked, "When Śākya appeared in the world, the heavens rained four kinds of flowers and the earth shook in six ways. I wonder what auspicious signs the upādhyāya has today?" The Master said, "The great assembly sees everything." The monk said, "Such is the Dharma of the Dharma King!" The Master said, "The king of men is present." He asked, "The precious seal of Jinghui was transmitted directly to the upādhyāya. To whom will it be entrusted in today's gathering?" The Master said, "Who does not have a share?" The monk said, "If so, then the thunderous voice universally shakes boundless lands." The Master said, "You must also listen well."
