- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [29.50](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.2076.29.50)

> The Chan master in essence is apart from ignorance; / from whence could defilements arise? / Hell and heaven share a single mark; / nirvāṇa and birth-and-death are empty names. / Nor is there greed and anger to be severed; / nor is there the Buddha Way to be accomplished. / Sentient beings and Buddhas are equal; / naturally, sacred wisdom is wide awake. / Undefiled by the six dusts, / line after line uniquely tallies with the unborn. / In a single thought of correct enlightenment, profound understanding arises; / the three times are vast, flat, and all equal. / Neither Dharma nor vinaya can constrain him; / carefree, he truly enters perfect accomplishment. / Severing these four propositions and hundred negations, / he is like empty space, without fabrication, without reliance.
