### [19.46](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.2077.19.46)

> Chan Master Zhizhe Shaoxian of Wuzhou was a native of Tanzhou. He ascended the hall \[and said\]: "Sense faculties and sense objects share the same source; bondage and liberation are not two. Without moving a fraction, one disports in the ten directions. Though Zihu's dog is ferocious, how can it compare to the turtle-nosed snake of Nanshan?" He then said in a loud voice: "Assembly, look beneath your feet!" He ascended the hall \[and said\]: "Roll it into a ball and it will not gather; brush it away and it will not disperse. Parched by the sun, it does not dry; soaked in water, it does not rot. Casually suspended in great space, let bystanders look on with a cold eye as they please."
