> Upāsaka Wang Shao, Hall of Scholarly Worthies Academician, styled Zichun, went out to govern Hongzhou. He invited Huitang to inquire about the Way, and had a silent accord. He then composed a verse on matching triggers: 'By day I forgot to eat, by night forgot to sleep; / holding up the black dragon's pearl, I wanted to ascend to heaven. / Turning back to my own body, I put it all down; / the four corners collapsed to the ground, perfectly round and complete.' He presented it to Huitang, who deeply approved it.
