> Chan Master Fabao of Dawei was a native of Fuzhou. Ascending the hall, he said: 'Call it a bamboo comb and you contradict; do not call it a bamboo comb and you turn your back. You must be like a lion biting the man, not like a dog of Han chasing the clod. Aha! Do you understand or not? Under the feet of the Vajra, an iron Kunlun / Has caught the foolish cloth bag of Mingzhou.' Ascending the hall, he said: 'A thousand sorts of words, ten thousand kinds of metaphors, / Only want to make you return home early. / Last night a patch of dark clouds arose; / Do not let it lead you astray from the road in front of the mountain! Bah!'
